So, the whole time Ice god pavilion was making a huge fuss over "a blonde haired kid", when it is now clear that it is at least not a unique trait. There are even people in the area with similar features. What's more, is that the new mage guy looks eerily similar to mc. I'm surprised arrogant gung-ho ice priest didn't make a scene earlier by attacking that guy instead. Considering he attacked him before without even confirming his identity in depth.
The scroll competition is strange too. Even the leader of the association said it took him hours to make even one scroll. But seeing that mc has a talent for making scrolls, this new guy wasn't even brought up by the peanut gallery comments, is competing with mc and seems to have a similar creation speed. It would have made more since if he was introduced or mentioned earlier and not just randomly introduced as an eavesdropper.
